the Problem.
You're a student in a Content Area Literacy course along with students from different secondary content backgrounds. Your crazy instructor for this course thinks it would be a good idea if, as a concluding summative assignment, you got together with one or two students in the class and designed a problem-solving assignment for students that engaged them in reading and writing to solve a "sexy" problem in your content area. In addition, this crazy prof thinks it would be especially cool if you you collaborated with someone outside your content area on an interdisciplinary project, and to encourage that, he's giving you 2 extra points if your group and task are interdisciplinary.
